Common
Ground is an indepent not-for-profit organisation
for scientific research, sustainable development and preservation of
international archaeological heritage. It's focus is on the
international exchange of knowledge in expertise
of archaeology, heritage management and new methods & techniques.
One of it's goals is to create local 'field schools', where
students from diverse cultures could learn about these activities
and techniques. Not only students benefit from this form
of cooperation, the local community, the public in the Netherlands
and various stakeholders are involved as well.
Common Ground coordinates the intercultural development of
management plans for effective and sustainable preservation & development
of international archeaological heritage sites and museums.
Knowledge is exchanged locally and in the Netherlands
through intercultural meetings, symposia and workshops.
All team members of Common Ground are highly experienced and
qualified in the management of complex archaeological projects and heitage sites
and the development of innovative methods and techniques. The team members have
an extensive international network in archaeology and heritage management.
